Njihov cilj je pomoć u gledanju izvan rutina i problema svakodnevnog života u aktiviranju međusobnih kultura i individualne svesnosti u slavljenju i toleranciji različitih specifičnosti, sumnji, pitanja, čvrstih i nepopravljivih teorija o moralu, opstanku, toku, i ljudskoj vezanosti...”

McBride is regarded as an emerging researcher into east and central European and Balkan performance art and its related activity. As founder and Artistic Director of Performance Art in Context (PAC) he undertakes interviews, writes, collects and translates artist’s texts, curates small and large-scale events and retrospectives of visual documentation of works that were often prohibited at the time of production, and now shown for the first time. As much a historical accounting as an artistic reading of the ‘social body’ of contemporary Europe, PAC exposes audiences to work produced often under extreme conditions and ideologies to span three decades of production. PAC is involved in facilitating sustainable pan-European collaborations and exhibitions, as well as artist and material exchange.
A dedicated Performance Art in Context website is currently being commissioned with funding from Arts Council England and is scheduled to go on-line in late 2004/5. The aim of PAC on-line is to publish previously unseen material and to commission new performance and writing that altogether will form a unique e-archive and include news and opportunities for artists to expand cross-border activities.
As a practitioner his works often generate installations through unfolding performance, gesture, and action, and operate within the architectonics of lived experience, alienation, hallucination, cultural boundaries and cultural boundedness. Reported phenomena is a methodology employed as a way to simultaneously produce and inhabit context, offering multiple readings of site to explore ideas of place. The work engages contextually with issues of identity, exile, periphery/centre, and emergent expansionist/exclusionist programmes, often manœuvring within a hallucinatory paradox of alienation while assuming that same ground as a singular hope of commonality and the emergence of community.
He has presented work professionally in England, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Spain, Transylvania, and the United States.

Marilyn Arsem, Jamaica Plain, MA, USA
Marilyn Arsem has been creating live events since 1975, ranging from solo performances, to large scale, site-specific works incorporating installation and performance. Arsem has presented work at festivals, conferences, alternative spaces, galleries, museums and universities in 16 states across the United States, as well as in Argentina, Belarus, Canada, Chile, Croatia, England, Germany, Macedonia, Poland, Singapore, and Taiwan. Upcoming performances are scheduled in Italy, Wales, and the Philippines.
In her recent work, Arsem has focused on site-specific events, often designed for audiences of a single person, that respond to both the history of the site, as well as to the immediate landscape and materiality of the location. These recent works examine hidden worlds that lie beneath the surface, which lurk underground, and ones which will eventually decay and dissolve back into the earth. The pieces are designed to implicate the audience directly in the concerns of the work, to create an experience that is both visceral and intellectual. To accomplish this, she incorporates a broad range of media.
In 2004 she presented work in the FIX04 Biennial of Performance Art, in Belfast, N. Ireland; at the Future of Imagination 2 International Performance Art Event, Singapore; at the In Transit/En Tránsito Primer Festival Internacional de Arte de Performance del Cono Sur de América, in Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina; the Sixth International Art Action Festival Interakcje, Piotrkow Trybunalski, Poland; and the Currency 2004 International Festival of Contemporary Performance, New York City. Other recent performanaces were at the Castle of Imagination Festival, Poland, 2002 & 2003; and the Fifth International Festival of Performance Art Navinki 2003, Belarus.
Arsem received her BFA from Boston University in 1973. She is the founder and a current member of Mobius, an interdisciplinary collaborative of artists. She teaches full-time at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she heads the Performance area.
